KID offers a variety of Health, Dental and Vision programs to help with medical needs. We also offer an Employee Assistance Program at no cost to employees to help them deal with personal issues so they may focus on the needs of our clients. We also offer a Section 125 Cafeteria plan that allows employees to pay for certain health and dental insurance premiums, out-of-pocket medical, dental and child-care expenses through a pre-tax spending account.
From life insurance to 401(k), credit union membership and discounted banking programs, KID looks to take care of our employees' financial well-being. Employees are eligible to participate in these programs after a qualifying time period.
KID offers all employees up to 45 hours of paid training per year to foster on-going professional development.
Full-time employees are eligible for two weeks of paid vacation after their first year of employment, three weeks after three years, and four weeks after their fifth year of employment. In addition to this generous paid vacation policy, we also offer employees paid time off to utilize for scheduled doctor’s appointments, a child’s illness or personal illness. Time is accrued each pay period to a maximum of 80 hours per year. Unused time in this program can also be carried over from year to year to a maximum of 480 hours.

Every employee has the opportunity to be recognized by their peers as a Gold Star Staff Member of the month for efforts that have contributed to furthering the success of KID’s Mission and Vision as well as consistently exceeding the standards of their job responsibilities. That’s why KID has a wellness program that encourages our team to take care of themselves holistically. From educational programs that lead us to take better care of ourselves to annual Health Fairs, designed to provide health assessment and on-site counseling for healthcare issues, to financial counseling to help us better prepare for our futures, we provide our team members with the support they need to care for themselves so they can better care for the children and the families we serve.
KID offers our employees the opportunity to attend local sporting events (Marlins, Dolphins, Panthers), plays, musicals and concerts at a reduced cost or free of charge.
