We have an opportunity for an energetic and dynamic Preschool/Aftercare Assistant Director to join the administration team and an incredible school staff. RESPONSIBILITIES: This role has responsibility to assist the Director of Educational Services in the delivery of a high-quality instructional program and overall operation of the school including: curriculum implementation in classrooms, staff training and development, student enrollment, parent and community relations, staff supervision and evaluation of approved curriculum and professional development, profit and loss management, and facility management. An ideal candidate will be a certified, experienced educator and administrator who is well-versed in 21st century instructional practices and who possess a strong commitment to the education of children.

Skills / Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field;  Child Care Director’s Credential; a minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in a preschool and after school setting; Experience implementing and/or training others on The Creative Curriculum; a minimum of one (1) year experience in a supervisory role; and prior experience teaching in a VPK classroom.   

Other skills sought include: Excellent communication skills; Leadership skills; Organizational skills; Takes initiative; Experience training others; and Comfortable interacting with, listening to, and assisting  caregivers (i.e.—good customer service skills).
